He was a lot slimmer before he *ate his wheel*

Could you not paint the wheel with that stuff people put on their fingernails to stop them biting them?

Maybe you're fooling us all, photographing your normal-sized hamster next to some particularly large, chunky bedding!

That is one seriously healthy looking gerbil!

Woh - were you walking past the house while I weighed him? Spot on.

He needs to lose some weight. Does he have one of those wheel things?

I'm trying to find a solution for that. He loved his in-cage ball, till he ate it. The replacement gerbil-proof plastic wheel was fairly popular, till he decided it was much more fun to tip it over and gnaw at its support. Once I picked up the fallen wheel to find a gerbil trapped underneath it.

Hmm, wheel gaffer-taped to the tank floor? Or some more gerbil-proof fixing method? I'm wary of giving him gaffer tape.

His brother is much more normal gerbil sized.

Is he pretending to be a hamster? *Sooo* fluffy!

I predict that hamster will continue to grow, until one day he's missing, you turn on the TV and are greeted by:

Been there, done that before! Nash has stayed this big for a few months now, and doesn't have the telltale small wriggling lumps under the skin that Jerry did :-)

Can I try some of your gerbil food on Fruitcake?

"Gerbil food for cats" can be interpreted two ways :-/ You don't want her to gain exactly 110 grams, do you?

Feed him first. Let's see if we can push it to 115g.

That's not a gerbil, it's a capybara.

I agree. Last time I saw it, it was a rat. Now it's a capybara!
