Doorsteppers

Southern Electric turned up on the doorstep.

I remember them, and had a bit of a rant. I think I convinced them that I was unlikely to switch to using them as my supplier.

Ha! Ironically it has taken me six months to leave SE. (So far.)

It took longer than I wanted to leave them, especially given that I never signed up to them in the first place.

how I wish I had been here, I could have filled in the bits where you had to pause for breath

Better still, you could have recorded the whole thing to replay to all future doorsteppers.

I stupidly believed a 'friendly' EDF salesman once. They ended up saving me a *negative* amount of money. I was not best pleased.

I keep getting British Gas at the door lately (well, twice in the last 6 months). They're very hard to tell to go away, it took about 6 variations on "not interested" before the last one would leave. In future I'll just shut the door in their face.

And I'm not even particularly cross with them, I just refuse to buy utilities at the front door.
