Anthropology Corner

A funny thing happened at gaming this week. In weeks previously I had been discussing my strong preference for Vanilla Diet Coke over the regular full-fat stuff JGD keeps in the fridge for visitors, and this week RBW came bearing a 2-litre bottle of it for me! (Claimed he'd got it for/at a party, wouldn't drink it himself, and it would only otherwise be used as toilet cleaner.) I was overwhelmed with delight, and blurted out (entirely sincerely at the time)
"I love you - this <--------------------------------> much!" and gave him a biiig hug.

I imagine the David Attenborough voiceover going thusly:
"And this female is obviously not far removed from her cave-dwelling past. It's a typical interchange: Ug brings Bug the gift of Food - Bug accepts and mates with Ug. A far cry from todays's sophisticated mating rituals."

Ahem.

I have trouble finding Vanilla DIET Coke, the Fullfat Vanilla is much more common.

I'm afraid I have some very bad news for you. I suggest you find someone with a cash and carry card and stock up.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Might have to take to buying ordinary Diet Coke and carrying a small bottle of vanilla essence around with me.

I was going to mention that ... but does anyone really fancy Black Cherry and Vanilla Diet Coke?

Does anyone know how long it actually keeps in the cans? I have a regular source, and I don't believe that expiry dates are actually accurate in all cases.

I don't know about cans. I know out of date bottled coke tastes much like fizzy water, though.
