Out for a run

Who do you think is faster in a ball, Flash the Micro-Hamster or Galactus the Giant Gerbil, Devourer of Worlds? Galactus may be faster but if so, he has no inclination to demonstrate, whereas Flash was zooming all over the place. [livejournal.com profile] ozymandias_cat made quite a dash for it too, once I opened the door to the room of now-safely-put-away critters. *pounce* Where are they? I heard noises!!

Tuesday: also featuring home-cooked dinner, laundry, airing smokey magazines, hamster cleaning, SF Foundation posting, no massage 'cos I'm far too stretchy today (I feel like Mr Fantastic, it's the hormones), sister's birthday sorted, and a peanut butter and golden syrup sandwich conceived of but not actually created.

Noodle stirfry with beef, black lentils, red pepper and hoi sin sauce. The leftovers were the envy of the office at lunchtime :-)

I've never even tried to put a gerbil in a ball - they'd a) treat it with the contempt it deserves, and b) chew their way out in 10 minutes.

*lightbulb moment*

He loved the ball when it was in his tank, mounted on a stand, till he figured out how to chew through it. Not too keen on the ball on the floor, but I've just set up the ball on its stand with a closed door and there is some decent amount of activity being had :-)
