Today I am mostly feeling very bendy. Do hormones affect joint laxity? (EDIT: Um, or five glasses of wine yesterday, or a non-trace amount of milk chocolate, but of which I had.) I feel I could flop in half, like a rag doll. Sideways.

Also, Cambridge people - anyone going to Sacrilege tomorrow? I'd like to. Assuming I deflop.

Pregnancy hormones certainly do! (They need to, to make the pelvis stretchy.)

Not suggesting you're in any way pregnant, just that there's a plausible mechanism there for hormones to be a factor.

Also, I've noticed my neck problems have a definite tendency to flare up when I get my period. The consultant said they didn't, but the calendar says they do.

Damn, I thought Sacrilege was next week. I *could* do, but would have to rearrange my brain.

We shall be away I'm afraid, it's my uncle's funeral tomorrow.

I will definitely have to get to one of them!

I think they might do, my back gets a bit wobblier once a month...

Alas I am at a friend's picnic tomorrow night :(

According to one of my yoga teachers, yes, and if you're female, you need to be more careful with stretching exercises at certain times ans you are more likely to overextend and cause damage.

Yep. Relaxin is the main culprit, which gets a massive increase in pregnancy, but there's always a certain amount of it knocking around the system (men as well, though I think less of it) and it does vary a lot. I think other hormones can affect joint laxity too, but I'm less well up on those ones.

sacrilege sounds fun - unfortunately we have to clean house and shop tomorrow evening, in order to have fun on saturday.

I'm still sufficiently broke to choose pub in preference of club (even one as cheap as this), but will definitely make it one of these months, I'm sure.
