So far this year I have read 51 books. [EDIT: 52]
A few fewer than the 75-100 I usually manage, just 1 in September and none in November! Busy old life. I blame Worldcon. Also starting two RPG campaigns, which meant most of my reading time was taken with GURPS manuals (which I don't count, as I haven't read them cover to cover. Though maybe if I had I'd be better at it).
Mostly SF/F as usual, but I've picked up a few maths/science histories/biographies as well. I started including the book's date on my annual list a few years ago, I like to read with some eye to the historical context and it's quite fun to note that I read two books separated by 400 years. I've marked the books which have most stuck with me with a ♥, in case you're idly after recommendations.
So, in the very useful order of chronological-as-read-by-Bridget, we have:
There And Back Again: An Actor's Tale, Sean Astin (2004)
Whores of Babylon, Ian Watson (1988, 2004)
