There's always more paperwork

Not quite how I'd planned to spend the day, but I've got rid of another couple of inches of papers and found a cheque from 2 years ago that I'd not cashed.

My raised beds arrived (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] tamaranth), but the parts need pre-drilling before they're screwed together, and T's bit is too short. I'm sure it's humorously wrong to drill from one end then the other and hope they meet in the middle. It might be time to buy a bigger drill. Or bit.

Busy Month is over, and with no working at weekends :-)

Best check that the bank will accept the cheque - they sometimes object if it's more than 6 months old.

Unless you're keeping it for posterity of course - I guess you didn't miss it anyway?

I did have a nagging feeling that they owed me something! I'll call the organisation on Monday and ask if they're able to replace it, or if they'd rather I tried the bank first.

It's possible to drill from both ends (like the Channel Tunnel!) but getting the holes to meet accurately is quite difficult.

Hurray for getting through busy month.

Do you really want to buy a drill? How often would you use it? Maybe worth trying to borrow one ... (I had major problems extracting the bit on the Purple Power Tool, so new bit may not be an option).

I have drill bits

What size do you need? I may not have it but it's worth checking
