London still good, made two tube journeys in two days without ill effects (helps to be unladen, well rested, and with opportunity for decent walking either end). My face has gone red and blotchy and puffed up - like sunburn? WTF? Down past my collarbone too, so not just windburn. On the plus side, with my eyes puffy, I can count bricks and windows on buildings 50 metres away without using my glasses. On the minus side, my mother will phone every day until I've found a drop in centre to look at it, because she's nice and doesn't want me stuck with eyes puffed fully closed after a couple of days.

Funeral was nicely done, some of my sister's friends made it up, and a few people I'd not seen since childhood. It caught me when they brought the coffin in, and I had a sad for most of the rest of the day :-(

Take care.
I'm glad your back is holding up.

Sorry I haven't been able to be more supportive of you in these times.

Possibly not-useful comment -- if you're still in London then the Victoria walk-in centre is just lovely; really helpful. They're actually nearer St James' Park than Victoria.

thanks - it's one of the two closest, and you tip the balance :-)

Oh dear, I'm sorry your face is really puffy. It honestly didn't look too bad last night, but the light in Mildred's was pretty dim. It was good to see you, puffy or not :)

The menu for the Japanese Canteen is here, if you'd like to check it out. I recommend against the chilli fried rice, it was so hot I had to chuck it out and go and buy something else!

Used to get Chicken Katsu Curry from the Japanese Canteen nearly once a week!

My face is a bit blotchy atm (weather plus central heating?) so I'm trying moisturiser.

I'm glad the funeral was nicely done, I was thinking of you yesterday.

If you're still around tomorrow (er, do I mean later today?! Wednesday) then do message me first just to make sure I'm back from collecting the dog from kennels.

Hope you're ok.
