Gridlocked

[livejournal.com profile] major_clanger is putting together the Eastercon programme.
I am putting together the Programme book and ReadMe.

Our living room is covered with A-large paper drawn into grids, Post-It notes, and index cards (halved and quartered). <Homer Simpson>Mmmm, stationery....</Homer Simpson>

It'll be nice to see the programme. There's far too little info on the website.

I'd love to have put up a draft, but the problem is that until about this close to the convention the programme is very fluid - some items get dropped, and a lot get shuffled around. Also, we can't really list who is on a particular item until we have confirmation from the participants; for that matter, a fair few people prefer not to have their names listed on a programme that is posted to any web-accessible site.

What I have done, though, is post a taster of some of our confirmed items to [livejournal.com profile] concussion_chat to give a hint of some of what we've got coming...

It looks good. I don't know how much I'll even be able to do as I'm on gofer duty for Farah a lot of the time but there's soem excellent stuff happening. On the subject of SF, although unrelated, you recently posted something on terrorism and sf which interested me a great deal. Has it come up in any other communities or been discussed anywhere else that you know of? I'd really like to follow it further.
