Grrrrrrrr! een

Should I even bother recounting the latest Green Bin incident?

No, you have heard it all before. I shall just rage and seethe and glower at my collection of rotting vegetation. And wonder which of my neighbours create too much refuse, and "topped" up my Green bin with 8 plastic bags of non-compostable refuse, which the "roadside operations team" (or whatever they are calling themselves these days - hey - R.O.T. - not a bad acronym) did not remove.

Darn! Recounted it anyway. Oh well, you'll just have to share my Grim. And don't get me started on Coca-Cola Light.

Coca-Cola Light?

Go on, you know you want to!

I've got Diet Coke here on my desk, but I know that if I go into several of the local shops around here in Southwark (or at home in Feltham) that the fridges will be full of cans of Coca-Cola Light ... just not quite the same thing, is it?

It's gopping! It tastes much more medicinal, like root beer or (shudder) Pepsi. It got delivered with pizza, made in Georgia (the country, not the US state), and definitely tastes different.

The rug of reality has been pulled out from beneath my feet of confidence. Isn't the point of brand ubiquity that you can be sure of getting the same thing time and again and it always tasting the same?

Oh, my poor nerves...

Given the absolute hideous mood I'm in right now after an argument with a so-called friend, would you like me to come down there, indulge in a bit of arm twisting to find the fiends responsible, then dump the whole lot in their bed?

Aw, that's so kind, you sweetie-pie! I could easily find out who by looking through their rubbish for some mail. I'm loathe to do that, because, well, eu!

I suspect it's just some education required on their part; they put the bins out on the right day, it's just the wrong bin with the wrong stuff in. They don't sort their recycle, and they don't squash anything, so it's light but bulky. Also some sternness that they can't just put their rubbish in other people's bins.

Maybe After Easter...
See you there!
