One less channel of Cat TV. Goodbye Flash, May 2009 - Feb 2012. You were tiny but that didn't stop you running, five miles in a night they estimate and I'm sure you weren't far off that. 5,000 miles! Little furry dude, that's easily enough to get you home, back to the Gobi Desert. Is that where you were going?

You looked happy enough last night, but it's always sad to have one of you leave.

Sorry to hear that - not sure if it's better for them to go suddenly or slowly, it was sad watching Batty decline.

We got two baby rats to keep Willow company yesterday, though. They are supercute.

I saw one on Twitter, it is very cute. Do they have names yet?

The darker one is Mouse. We're thinking the other one might be Frog or Froggle, although that's not set yet.

I would get some more like a shot, but would like to wait to see if any come up for rescue/rehoming.

Pets at Home sometimes have hamsters that need rehoming.

Ooh, I didn't know that. I guess people return them to the shop rather than take them to a shelter? Or are they hamsters getting a bit long in the tooth and people don't want to buy them?
