Brave
Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Along Came a Spider
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The Dark Knight Rises
(rewatch) (IMAX)
The Expendables 2
The Incredible Hulk
(rewatch) (Ed Norton Hulk)
Tremors (rewatch)

Gigs (none this month but I have Jeffrey Lewis and the Junkyard on Tuesday)

Books incoming 27-31 (all purchases) (read 24/31). Birthday spending!

This was the month of Walking A Lot which takes away from reading time.

I hated Cryptonomicon, finally gave up after 500 pages. Needs a good editor.

Have you reached the perl script in Cryptonomicon yet? What did you think of Raiders of the Lost Ark?

No perl script yet! Have just learnt the German for morphine.

Raiders was fun, and I can see why it's a classic, but I've seen so many derivative things now that I didn't get the thrill of the new, and I'll never have the nostalgia for it that some people do. But the rolling ball! And the pit full of snakes! And the hat that never comes off!

Re the hat, have you seen the famous bit in Temple of Doom? I had the same though about derivatives recently, but I can't remember what the original was.
