Weather

Incey Wincey spider walked along the street.
Down came the snow, and froze her tiny feet!
Then came the rain, which washed away the ice
And Incey Wincey skipped around because it was so nice.

I have never been so pleased to hear the rain as I am tonight, the roads have cleared but the pavements were still like icerinks.

I hope you do not have any rain standing on ice issues.

I will keep my eyes peeled! Local temperature is expected to rise to 10 Celsius tomorrow so I hope we'll be alright.

Yes. Snow has been pretty, but rain is a relief.

Please be extra careful. This snow melting over ice is the MOST DANGEROUS PERIOD.

Yes. Just going out to fill the bird feeders was a Major Expedition.

I made it to the post box but there were still a few 4-foot ice rinks on the pavements, mostly at the road crossings :-/

Our road still wasn't quite clear last night - the perils of a cul-de-sac which isn't well-travelled. Well, nor is it this morning yet, but the bit immediately outside our house which isn't clear is less of a problem as I cleared that bit of pavement myself, and I suspect the last bit further up is now OK, since it was getting close yesterday. It'll probably not be properly safe on the pavements again until tomorrow afternoon I guess, but yes, a big relief for me too, even if I do love the snow.

It was snowing moderately when I went to sleep and now it's nearly all melted! On Thursday it was easier to walk down the road rather than the pavement.
