What are these moulded trimmer tools for, why might I have a nice pack of five of them, and is it important to keep them? They are "for adjusting 6 mm cores with 0.1 in A/F hexagon centre hole" but that does not help me much :-)

I think they're *for* shifting the ferrite rods within inductance coils without being metal and hence altering the inductance themselves. As to the other stuff, no clue...

Thanks, and hurrah for being able these days to type the part number into a search engine. If I haven't needed to use them by the time I've finished building the theremin, I'll get rid of them.

Aha, one can also ask search engines how to use plastic trimming tools and they say "they're good for tuning potentiometers like the ones in your theremin". Thanks for the inductance clue!
