Well usually either a 6x2L or 8x2L shrink-wrapped 'case' depending on how Coke feel about manual handling. The term crate is more usually applied to the solid crates used to support glass bottles when stacking them. There will most likely be the remains of a pallet of the stuff at the local wholesalers. A pallet usually has 60 8x2L cases or 80 6x2L cases = 480 bottles, 960 litres. Roughly a cubic meter of pop! The wholesaler may well be prepared to do a deal as it will likely be getting to the end of it's life.

I don't think they have quite that much drink! It's just 500ml bottles they have. She might have said 'tray' rather than 'crate'.
