LJ's commenting isn't working for me at the moment on the desktop - was fine yesterday. I can see the "Comment on this" link but nowhere to type a comment.

I would ask if you all have the same problem but...

I'm commenting fine. I've had problems in the past caused by both noscript blocking new LJ sub-sites and by https everywhere (LJ is generally broken on https everywhere and one must disable it for LJ).

When I was young, things were less mutable, you didn't wake up and find things worked differently from yesterday. But television was something you had to catch at the time or it would disappear forever.

Yep, comments are happy enough on the Mac. Something must have changed overnight to make Windows unhappy.

cjwatson had the same problem for a while. He could comment from his phone but not laptop.

That turned out to be HTTPS Everywhere; disabling it for LJ made things happy for me.
