Not well enough to know what sort of reenactment/costuming she's involved with or to email on spec...

Yes, hello. I do 16th century living-history at Kentwell so all my kit is mid-to-late 16th century (Henry VIII through Elizabeth I) and "middling sort" (I have nothing that would pass for even country gentry let alone nobility, I could probably do "peasant") and female (I have no male kit at all, I never do "dress up as a man and wave a musket about"). Which may or may not be what you were looking for even a bit. If you have any other people-without-kit who are about 5' tall and a size 8-10 then I'd be willing to lend 2 people's worth of clothing.

A complication is that on Sunday I have cinema tickets for 1pm to see Draw On Sweet Night so whilst I could be free at *some point* on Sunday I'm definitely not free for "Sunday, at some point we don't know about yet, be on standby"

Thanks :-) I have heard of Kentwell a few times but never really got clear on what it was. And I was hoping to see Draw On Sweet Night too but timings :-/ We'd want daylight probably so it would be the morning. Would Saturday 9th be possible as an option?
Pastes Kentwell link in for later reference http://www.kentwell.co.uk/events/tudor

There is no particular period or class in mind for this shoot, it's a proof of concept to show that they can do period pieces as well as the modern drama that makes up most of their portfolio. They have a good Victorian short, and want to do something - just a scene - anywhere from medieval to 1920s. Authenticity/look/feel is more important than flashy Armoured Action, a good short human interaction would also work, draw people into the period rather than observe.

Cheers!

I could do Sunday morning or Saturday (pretty much any time, although after 10 would be best).

Brill, I will get asking about stuff. Do you have any photos, or suggestions of the kind of things you do when you're Living? (Am off to visit [livejournal.com profile] sphyg now but back after lunch)

I'm a Tailors Assistant/Relative/Hanger-on usually, we talk about most aspects of clothes. I can be convincing talking about most aspects of cloth production but don't have the props to do any of it (well, I have a drop spindle, but I can't use it convincingly).

It's go! Sunday morning at the Leper Chapel. Probably 10am. Is there anything you need/need to know that I could help with? Many thanks :-)

I can't see that picture btw, wrong settings.

Where is the Leper Chapel?

What do you want doing? (I'll update my post on K/w FB)

Do you want me to bring Spare Kit? or just me?

It is Barnwell Junction, Newmarket Rd, Cambridge CB5 8JJ (near Coldham's Common and the football ground), no toilets or running water on site but there is big Tesco nearby if necessary. Do you need a lift? I don't know anyone Naath-sized but it would be good if you could bring spare kit if it's not too inconvenient - people who are good with cameras often have ideas about colour combinations and like to have options.

Not sure if we're shooting inside or outside yet. Weather forecast is 3-7 degrees, sunny spells then clouding over, but not expecting rain.

Colin and James will work out a short script/scene.

I don't need a lift, me and the stuff can get there fine. I'll bring a choice of colours (it's green or violet or red-and-black) but not spare identical pieces.

I'll be there at 10.

Oh, and I could share your request with the Kentwell FB group, except you f'locked it so maybe you don't want me to do that. Lots of them are quite near, but I don't know if anyone would be available at such short notice.

This film... it is drawing some people to Cambridge ;-p I've got one person saying "could come in kit before the film" already.

Thanks! Do you know who the anonymous commenter is below? We'd like to get in touch to confirm details and get an idea of role/age range/gender etc, when they can arrive and if they are also needing to get to Picturehouse for 1pm or if they could stay later - trying to develop the story ideas so we can do an efficient shoot.
My contact details are here, f'locked, but do pass them to anyone relevant.

Hi, great job on Sunday, thanks again. Was film good afterwards? I've seen a rough cut of this already and it looks nice. What do you prefer for the credits, your name as on your LJ profile?

posted by [identity profile] naath.livejournal.com at 01:31pm on 11/01/2016
It was a pretty good film, lots of nice singing.

I prefer "Naath" or "Naath Cousins" for me, my costume is by me, the ring I'm wearing (which, I guess, might be quite prominent if you do close-up of hand-on-shoulder) is by Nicki Wade of Gemmeus if that's a relevant thing for credits.

I'll do a more top level post in a few days but am sending this to you and Hannah first.
