I'm clearing out some books, anyone want any (filtered to Cambridge folk in the first instance)? I've read and enjoyed and don't expect to reread (reading rate has plummeted), or my tastes have changed. Lots of the sort of hard sf one would find available in the 90s.
Pictures behind cut because if I wait to type up a list I'll never get it done...

Rachel would like the three Chaz Brenchley books, if that's OK

Yep, I'll put them aside.

I'll be at the Carlton on Sep 22, would that be a good time to drop them by?

That would be great. I occasionally make it over there, but most of the time it's too far to walk; if so, I'll definitely be in!

I can't make it on Sep 22, sorry, too much jury service + close freelance deadline for the evenings. I'll let you know when it looks like I'll next make it.

Rachel is clearly a person of exceptional taste, I am just sayin'.

All my children have impeccable taste. Naturally ;-)

I've been meaning to read more female sf/fantasy so would like the Gwyneth Jones and Connie Willis, please.

Set aside for you. They're good but I don't think I'll reread.

The Mary Gentles are good if they are of interest?

I wouldn't say no to the six Asimovs at the left end of the topmost picture – somehow I don't already have any of them.

Yours. Is the Carlton on Thursdays still a thing? Should I bring them then?

It is indeed still a thing, and I'm expecting to be there on every Thursday in the foreseeable future. Thank you!

Can I express interested in the Brunners, please?

Yep - same question as above, is the Carlton on Thursdays still a thing and a good way to get books to you?

It is still a thing, but I'm getting along rather less frequently at the moment, 'cos new-job and earlier starts. Ian J is often there (though not this week, I think), and I see him climbing most weeks, so I could see if he'd be a willing conduit?

I'll try for Sep 22, let me know if that won't work.

Mark W has said he'll be there on the 22nd, and is happy to take books for me.

Can I have the Rudy Rucker please, as it's one I don't actually have.

Certainly, drop round any time or I could put it through your letterbox.

Ooh! Having been reminded of this, can I have The Road to Nightfall? It's the volume of the Silverberg collected short stories I'm missing. (I'm not often at the pub any more, but Ian can ferry, or alternatively I have Arts Cinema plans involving monster movies and the film festival.)

I can plausibly walk via your house to my appointment tomorrow, will drop it by. I am to make it public so Ian can see it, but it seems I can't edit it on my phone...
