Absolutely. My future is definitely in writing non fiction. Having said that, when I dropped out of my PhD I kept a lot of my notes in case I ever decide to turn it into a bad historical novel. But given that I have no imagination, finishing the PhD might have been easier.

PS - Your LJ looks interesting; hope you don't mind that I added you. I am also a lapsed medievalist.
