This afternoon is my last exam invigilation of the season, then I'm going to Red Wine evening at Caro's.

Friday is my jaunt to Edinburgh, to visit [livejournal.com profile] yonmei and my Scottish relatives. I'll try not to drink too much whisky! Well, I'll try not to drink any whisky but with my Uncle Stuart around I may not get the option... I'd hoped to go for long walks but I hear the weather is more suitable for staying in with duvets and DVDs :-)

OOh, Edinburgh? say hi from me :-) Shame about the weather! Go to Plaisir de Chocolat - I'm sure Y will take you! (Hah - you never went there when *I* lived there!!! is Simon still thinking about the LLM?)

is Simon still thinking about the LLM?
He is - though by distance learning probably. Or something in London he can commute to. We shall have lots of long talks when he gets home!

Hah - you never went there when *I* lived there!!!
I never had a free weekend until now!

Mmmm, chocolate - anything dairy-free there or would I just go to torture myself? ;-)

I don't recall Plasir du Chocolat doing anything dairy free, but hot chocolate made with soya milk is always an option in this household. Might be tempted to try with almond milk, which is apparently rather good, according to the folks on [livejournal.com profile] vegancooking.

I mentioned P de C not Chocolate Soup because P de C is so upmarket I thought they might have something very very cocoa solids ie not much dairy?

I think it might be the other way round - Chocolate soup do what is essentially a chocolate espresso, which might not contain dairy. It seems to be melted high-cocoa solids chocolate.

That looks like an invite, unless I'm mistaken... I don't know what Y's plans are yet - remind me of your address (by e-mail, mine's on my LJ profile)?

Would like to come if weather permits! I'm a bit alarmed by the lack of trains out of King's Cross at the moment. Have vegan chocolate truffles but can post them if necessary.

Watch the train schedules very closely. The news was talking of restricted/limited services up the East Coast Main Line due to the weather conditions. Otherwise, have fun.

Heck. And it's got a lot worse since you posted this. Ah well, I shall come prepared with a book and some nibbles (so I don't have to end up with Railtrack sandwiches and a Mars Bar) and see where my reservations get me. (Perhaps only Peterborough!) I don't have anything else to do that weekend.

I wonder what the plans are wrt refunds if everything is cancelled...
