A co-worker of mine had three sisters and a parent who was a dentist. Their father DID actually use them for an experiment, using tooth sealant on two of them, and not on the other, and allowing one of each pair to eat sweets of an evening and the other pair not. I'm not sure how long it went on for but his conclusion was that tooth sealing works and experimenting on your children leads to years of resentment from the duo who didn't get the sweets.

Yeah, sounds about right. My family was quite anal about sharing, to the point of dividing packets of lollies into piles and cutting them up to make sure everyone got exactly the same amount. Bit of a problem with tim tams (biscuits), which have 11 in a packet, specifically to drive us nuts I believe.

Speaking of twin studies, they used to do them down the hallway from where I worked. It was quite freaky some days, walking in and there'd be all these identical people staring at you...
