The words "hoist" and "petard" spring to mind in close proximity to one another.

Not terribly impressive at all. I find all of Jordan's products over sweet too.

You've been reading too much randomly-generated spam :-)

I like Fruslis; they're convenient, non-dairy, not too high fat. They do contain 43.6g sugar per 100g, which is a bit horrifying really. But they're better than Fruit Pastilles or chocolate.

Suggestions gratefully received for replacement portable carb snacks!

Soft dried apricots in small packets. Sainsbury's stock Sundora ones, and the M&S own-brand ones are nicer but more expensive.

I am more looking for fibre-containing wholegrain starches than sugars, Oh Thin One. 150 kcal of dried apricots is not very big. :-(

The Sundora packets are 50g and 83kcal. They're quite satisfying. I think the Sainsbury's ones are 40g, and you can presumably have two packets for 150kcal.

Unfortunately, I think that most 'multigrain bar' type things are quite high in sugars and fats. Which is a shame, as unrefined grains are definitely something to be going for! But the fat and sugar helps them to stick together... Have you tried something like pumpernickel bread? it's available in health food shops. II would think that it should be possible to get that without any added dairy, it shouldn't have too much</em. added sugar, fat or salt, and I find it dense and satisfying. Actually, I think I will try making some in my bread machine now that I've thought about it :-)
