When I read about this kind of behaviour it almost makes me ashamed to be male. So sorry you had to go through this, but very glad you're OK.

Maybe "human" would be better than "male" -- teen-age girls have been known to play similar head-games with ...err... senior citizens. (Okay, "...with at least one old man", and I didn't have the feeling of any possibity of physical violence, but....)
