And today's challenge is: go to the gym even though you feel a bit lethargic and would rather curl up in bed with a book. Go right now! Put down Minesweeper! A Best Time (Expert) of 114 seconds ought to satisfy anyone!

EDIT: Eeep! That was not a command! Perhaps I should have written: And today's challenge to Bridget i.e. myself is: go to the gym
But do go and do some exercise, I have just been and feel nicely knackered now. But with stiff lats. They're really not used to doing anything. I hope this all does make my back stronger and more stable.

I've been to the gym already, even though I only have 6 hours before Mater's back from hospital...

Can't I wait until they officially let me out of work? Please?

One of the people on my Diploma course was talking about 'beating the 200 second barrier' on Minesweeper. I failed to contain my shock, and then muttered something about processing speed. But I was fairly convinced at the time that my minesweeper addiction phase (more than a decade ago) had me attempting to beat a time nearer the 100 second barrier than the 200 second barrier, and I think you've just confirmed that... (I have no idea where I got to by the way, and whether I eventually did better or worse than 114 seconds -- if you reboot one of the computers in the cellar you might be able to work it out).

Must. Not. See. What. Current. Minesweeper. Time. Would. Be.

(I'm guessing I'm nearer 200 than 100. I was never that good at it.)

I also went to the gym. However the step machine in there apepars to totally suck my will to live. Or maybe it was the sucky music... it was very very sucky.

I "went to the gym", i.e. used the Yourself Fitness program this morning. Upper body today, with various weighted lifts for shoulders, chest, back, biceps... no triceps today for some reason. For the back I did bent-over rows, but I can't do them as they say -- they want you to literally bend over 90 degrees from the hips and "row" from there, but that hurts my back! I threw in some overhead presses, too, with a view to being better able to get a bag into the overhead compartment of an airplane.
