A Bug's Life

Technically I have six uncles, seven counting the one who's my mum's cousin but is closer to her than two of her brothers, but my family is really not what you call close. Before you get into the whole I'm not allowed at family events because I'm embarrassingly weird factor. Effectively, there's my parents, my brother, and his wife. There was one cousin I was close to as a child who I'm now sorta in touch with through Facebook, but that's it.

As I may have mentioned, when Tony and I were wedding-list-ing, "immediate family and bridesmaids etc" came to about 50 people.

I have 25 "close family" relations:
2 parents
2 step-parents
3 siblings, 1 partner
4 step-siblings
1 step-niece
3 aunts on my dad's side, 1 partner, 1 spouse, 1 first cousin
1 aunt on my mum's side, 1 spouse, 2 first cousins, 1 with fiance
1 second cousin once removed who is particularly close to my dad and his sisters.

Tony has similar numbers of close relations.

I can enumerate another 15-20 more distant relatives of mine whose addresses I have or can find out. Again, so can Tony.
