As for Flash. I'm beginning to think that the "sociable" tag for creatures can be quite flexible. Miss Daisy, the hen, was an only girl for several months and regarded me as sufficiently galliform to be reasonably happy. The various fish we've bought that live in groups seem quite happy to find another species to shoal with if they become singletons. Tyos, stimulation, company might do the trick.
