I remember when it were all glaciers round here

Rain not rained - phew!
Flood level not risen - phew!
Flood level also not receded - hmmm
Flood partly frozen this morning - pretty! (Maybe this is the best way to deal with floods - freeze them solid, pick them up in great sheets, and cart them off to somewhere safe)

I've never watched a Superman movie. (It could be worse, for ages I'd never watched Bladerunner and fans at cons would drop their jaws at me incredulously.)

Based on previous years, Cambridgeshire flooding usually peaks March. I'm somewhat alarmed it's so early this year. Living as we do on one of the fen-edge 'hills', the worst it's been for us is 300 yards down the road (last year AFAIKR).

Fingers firmly crossed, wood always to hand.
