Item 5: Clear pile of old leaves from doorstep as the bins are emptied tomorrow.
So I got a bag, and started stuffing handfuls of leaves into it, until I found a hedgehog! It was all curled up, so I put the leaves back again. Living out in this village is better than the zoo!
[Hints on what to do about hedgehogs? I plan to not disturb it.]

This situation shows exactly why it's really not a good idea to use a fork to gather up garden rubbish at this time of year.
Of course, for maximal effect, don't throw away leaves anyway, but make a cage out of chicken wire, through leaves into it, let it rot down into leaf mould, and when you don't have a clue what to do with it, let me come up and take it away if you're still there in a year!
