Failed to sort new phone yesterday, because old SIM doesn't fit it. Have ordered new SIM, and will have to insert "obtain PAC" into process as I've taken the opportunity to change providers. Looking forward to having to enter all phone numbers by hand again...

I've done lots more things otherwise - getting email inbox from 100+ to 50, doing the admin and bill paying related to that, and making plans for the weekend and possibly helping again with a filming day in November. More tasty cooking (I do like garlic mushroom and okra), and collecting an Ilumi order (gluten free dairy free pouch meals).

This evening's plan is to work through another four categories of Stuff (magazines, training courses, sewing, cameras), change a lightbulb, send off an expenses claim, maybe do some arm weights, and put empty boxes temporarily elsewhere.

On Thursday I will mostly read and sleep or watch a DVD, and then there is a long London weekend.

And as per Twitter, I walked home today to find my FitBit had clocked the double milestones of 7 million steps and 3 thousand miles (in 2.3 years).

EDIT: Or get distracted by an LJ post and end up purging some shelves of tech books from 2003 and earlier, and moving things around to fill the gaps.

796 days (2.18 years), 8084655 steps for me. Lots of pointless walking round the local estate

Cor, that's a lot! I used to go up and down one estate where I lived quite a lot, I wasn't good for long distances, but it was a bit embarrassing when I met a neighbour socially and they commented on it... If you want Fitbit friends I'm here btw https://www.fitbit.com/user/23GQ74 - not that we seem to do much in the way of competing and such.

I'm a omicron and manual typing into spreadsheet man myself. Hoping I won't fall back from 10400/pd to below 10000 over winter. It relies of bluffing that I'm a work when out for a walk daytime though.

I have a fridge/freezer full of homemade soup and stew and am now having too much food angst!

Nice! What is this "too much food" of which you speak? Great to have easy stews for winter.

Our boiler's just broke, so I'm hoping the freezer doesn't go as well!

This might be silly but you can get SIM adapters. I have to stick my ickle micro SIM in a big sim-shaped thing so it can go in my phone. I suppose it might be a tad harder if your phone takes a mini sim and yours is full size...

I might be able to fit my big old SIM into the big new slot if I could take about a millimetre off one edge..

You can do exactly that provided the contacts still line up. And you can cut down SIM to micro-SIM with a template and steady hand, I've done that - the body is all plastic, the gubbins is under the metal.

Ooh, with a - knife? scissors? I can't think what would be a good cutting tool. Bit nervous to try. I think I do have mini SIM and need micro SIM.

You need the proper tool to do it, really.
